On March 28, in the concert hall of the Ukrainian House, the final gala concert “Children for the Future of Ukraine” was held, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. The event was organized by the All-Ukrainian magazine “Ukrainian People” and the Charity Fund “Velyka rodyna”.
The concert featured children from various regions of Ukraine, including those who were internally displaced and living in compact settlements in Kyiv region. A total of 40 young performers from Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Lutsk, Rivne, Ternopil, and other cities of Ukraine took the stage.
The gala concert commenced with the performance of the Ukrainian National Anthem by the festival participants along with the children’s vocal group “Band’A.” Subsequently, the children from Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Ternopil presented a choreographic composition titled “Ukraine, We Are Your Hope.” Participants from Luhansk, Donetsk, and Kyiv showcased a performance named “Performance,” choreographed by V. Zahoruika. The children demonstrated their talents not only in dance performances but also in solo acts alongside pop stars. For instance, Lyudmyla Kovalchuk from Rivne performed the song “Mom’s Eyes” together with Mykola Bobryk, a participant from the TV project “The Voice of the Country.”
“Our children set a wonderful example of kindness, beauty, and friendship. This inspires hope for a bright future for a united European Ukraine.”
The highlight of the gala concert was a symbolic poetic dialogue between a boy from Donbas and a girl from Lviv. In rhymed verses, the children conveyed the pain and despair of the war in the eastern part of the country, as well as the necessity for the unity of the Ukrainian people. During the performance of the poem, all festival participants came on stage dressed as angels, holding candles in their hands. The presentation concluded with a prayer for Ukraine, peace, and tranquility.

The project “Children for the Future of Ukraine” received support from renowned artists and stars of the Ukrainian music scene. Alongside the children, distinguished artist of Ukraine and opera diva Natalia Shelepnytska, violinist Maya Onyshchuk, pop singers Mila Nitich and Natalia Valevska, graced the stage.
The gala concert concluded with the song “Sam sobi krayina” (My Own Country) by the unforgettable Kuzma Skryabin, performed together with the children and Ukrainian music stars. Joining the festival participants on stage were Dmitry Sisoev, the Borisenko brothers, Vadim Oliynyk, Mykita Lomakin, the duet “Anna-Maria,” Serhiy Sisyuev, Lavika, and Ihor Hrokhotskyi.
As a memento of the celebration from the “Velyka rodyna” each child received a commemorative gift: a unique edition of Kobzar and vibrant Shevchenko-themed memorabilia.
