
On April 21, 2015, with the support of the Charity Fund “Velyka rodyna” a pedagogical conference titled “Taras Shevchenko’s Artistic Heritage as an Important Factor in the National-Patriotic Education of Students” took place. The conference was organized for the heads of methodological associations of Ukrainian language and literature teachers.

During the conference, a special issue of the international business magazine “Image.ua” titled “Taras Shevchenko. 200 years” was presented. The presentation of this publication, which covered unique facts from the life and creative work of Taras Shevchenko, was conducted by the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of the Charity Fund “Velyka rodyna”, Vira Ulyanchenko.
The conference was inaugurated by Natalia Ivanivna Klokar, the Acting Rector, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, and Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, who delivered a welcome speech to the participants, emphasizing the importance of studying Taras Shevchenko’s creative heritage during literature lessons.
Oksana Mykolaivna Polischuk, the head of the educational and methodological cabinet of Ukrainian language and literature, and world literature, continued the meeting by presenting the publication “Taras Shevchenko. 200 years.” She took the attendees on a journey through the pages of the magazine, delving into the artist’s creative work, and showcased video materials from the musical performance “Passions for Taras” by Yevhen Stankovych.
Lidiia Vasylivna Bychevska, a methodologist from the educational and methodological cabinet, provided participants with methodological recommendations on how to use the materials from the publications “Taras Shevchenko. 200 years” and “Passions for Taras” during the study of Taras Shevchenko’s works in general educational institutions.

On April 21, 2015, with the support of the Charity Fund “Velyka rodyna”, a pedagogical conference titled “Taras Shevchenko’s Artistic Heritage as an Important Factor in the National-Patriotic Education of Students” took place. During the conference, attendees had the opportunity to learn about the activities of the Bilohorivka Secondary School I-III named after T.H. Shevchenko, which is the only school in the Kyiv region bearing the name of the famous poet.
Tamara Fedorivna Zakrasnyana, the Deputy Director of the educational institution, presented the experience of using the educational potential of Taras Shevchenko’s image and artistic heritage in the educational process.
Oksana Tymofiivna Baryshpol, a teacher from the Matyushivska Secondary School I-III of the Bilohorivka district, conducted a virtual excursion titled “Taras Shevchenko and Bilohorivka” for the conference participants. The excursion was created based on the research work of the students of the school.
The conference also featured Katerina Volodymyrivna Plivachuk, a teacher from the Skvira Lyceum and a candidate of pedagogical sciences, who shared her methodology for preparing students’ research work on the study and popularization of Taras Shevchenko’s works.
Young talents also presented their research works during the event:
- Daryna Donets, a student from the 11th grade of Bilohorivka Secondary School No. 6, presented her work on “Folklore Traditions of Women’s Destiny in Taras Shevchenko’s Works: A Gender Aspect of Imagery.”
- Andrii Shevchenko, a student from the 11th grade of the Educational Complex “Specialized General Secondary School No. 1 with an Advanced Study of the Ukrainian Language and Literature” of Obukhiv City Council, presented his work on “The Great Kobzar in Andrii Malyshko’s Works.”
The conference was honored by the presence of Tetiana Kutsenko, a descendant of the Shevchenko family, who is an 8th-grade student at the Ivanivska Educational Complex “General Secondary School I-III – Kindergarten” of the Bohuslav district. She shared previously unknown material on the genealogy of the Shevchenko family, revealing the secrets of her family tree.
The pedagogical conference took place in a creative and warm atmosphere, with 81 participants in attendance. Each participant received a copy of the special issue of the international business magazine “Image.ua,” the publication “Taras Shevchenko. 200 years,” and an audio disk “Passions for Taras.”
